Job Duties:
• Set up, operate, and maintain various types of drilling and mining machinery;
• Determine and follow precise drill patterns; assist with blasting operations as required;
• Perform ground stabilization and support tasks and extending essential mine infrastructure;
• Conduct pre-operational checks, strictly adhere to workplace policies and standard operating procedures;
• Identify, report, and help mitigate safety risks, near misses, or incidents;
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of drilling and mining machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation, including mechanical checks, steel changes, and troubleshooting of operational issues.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Skills Required:
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Interpreting instructions and diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and in remote field conditions.
• Manual dexterity, attention to details.
• Must be able to obtain valid driver's license.
Experience Required:
• Experience is a great asset.
Education Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Wage & Hours: $39.00
• Number of hours per day: 8-12 (may vary)
• Number of days per week: 5-7 (may vary)
• Number of hours per week: 75 hours bi-weekly guaranteed
• Overtime starts after how many hours: after 88 hours bi-weekly
• Shift rotation (as applicable): on-call work; underground shift; rotation schedule available: 5-5-4 days in/out or 2 weeks in - 2 weeks out depending on the workload.
