Senior Floor Supervisor

Hue & Hammer Distribution Ltd. in Vancouver, BC, is looking for a Full-time position for Senior Floor Supervisor (62010), to assist in running our growing firm and could join immediately.

Location: 12571 Bridgeport Road, Unit 130 Richmond, BC V6V 1J4

Positions Available: 1 (One)

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Compensation: $27 per hour

Work hours: 40 hours/week

Terms: Full-Time

Language of Work: English

Job duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers
• Plan and prepare work schedules and assign sales workers to duties
• Operate cash registers and authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise
• Sell merchandise to customers
• Check merchandise to make sure it’s correctly priced, displayed, and meets quality standards
• Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
• Replenish the sales floor
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder as needed
• Monitor and prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
• Hire and train employees to use equipment and complete job-related tasks such as using the cash register, greeting customers, and handling customer complaints
• Evaluate employee performance and identify areas to improve
• Maintain store health and safety procedures: Make sure the store is clean and organized

Skill Requirements:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
