Terms:             Indefinite/permanent

Work Hours:    36-42 hours shift schedule per week

Salary:            The starting wage is $21 per hour. The Company conducts annual performance and compensation reviews in accordance with its internal HR policies. Employees may be eligible for wage increases based on performance, skills development, length of service, and overall company compensation policies. Any wage adjustments are at the sole discretion of the Employer and are subject to company policy and operational requirements.

Overview:

The Extruding Machine Operator will primarily set up and operate an extrusion machine in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements. Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to verify product and secure machinery. Adjust and clean machines. Document work performed as required. Will report to shift supervisor.

Responsibilities:

·     Set up and operate one or more extruding machine which exclude plastic composites products through a nozzle or die;

·     Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change;

·     Troubleshoot, maintain and make minor repairs to equipment;

·     Monitor the quality of product produced;

·     Maintain inventory of material and clean working area

Requirements

·     Competed Secondary Education with Diploma or equivalent experience is required;

·     2+ years of experience as an extruding machine operator or helper, tender, packer in manufacturing company;

·     Desire to learn new skills and take part of our in-house training and apprenticeship program is an asset.  Kostklip will provide on-the-job training;

·     Detailed oriented, manual dexterity, object oriented, finger dexterity;

·     Security and Safety:  medical exam and criminal clearance check;

·     Language:  English

Work Environment Conditions:  Work takes place in a regular controlled indoor environment where temperatures or humidity may vary greatly in some working areas.  Work environment is noisy and dusty.
