Job Duties:
• Check mobile mining equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunction;
• Equipment removal, installation, alignment, troubleshooting and repair;
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required;
• Must have excellent understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics;
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools;
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications;
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment;
• Perform repair work on heavy trucks;
• Attach components and adjust new equipment;
• Open work-orders, find parts and complete parts list in work-orders using all available resources; and
• Other duties assigned by the Supervisor, Mobile Maintenance as required.

Skills Required:
• Ability to diagnose, repair, maintain and overhaul mobile mining equipment;
• Must have excellent understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics;
• Preferred candidate will have Ontario or inter-provincial trade qualification;
• Accreditation in U/G common core modules would be an asset;
• Accreditation in specialty modules would be an asset;
• Strong safety focus;
• Self-motivated ability to work alone.

Experience Required:
• 3-5 years’ mechanical experience in underground mining operations;
• Red Seal certification is an asset

Education Required:
• Trade or Vocational Diploma or equivalent technical experience

Wage & Hours: $ $45.89
• Number of hours per day:10
• Number of days per week: 7 on 7 off
• Number of hours per week: 140 per month
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 70 per week (overtime is applicable for any hours after regular scheduled hours are satisfied)
• Shift rotation (as applicable): 7 days on x 7 days off
• Bonuses: underground mechanical bonus as applicable from $8.19/hour to $20.90/hour
