Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Oversee and coordinate daily transportation and dispatch operations to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight.
Supervise drivers and dispatch staff, assign loads, and ensure efficient route planning to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
Monitor shipment progress and maintain regular communication with drivers and customers to resolve delays, service issues, or operational disruptions.
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial transportation regulations, including reviewing driver logs and monitoring adherence to Hours of Service and safety requirements.
Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure fleet safety and operational readiness.
Prepare and submit operational reports, track performance metrics such as on-time delivery and productivity, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
Train and support drivers and dispatch staff on company procedures, safety policies, and operational standards.
Coordinate with other departments, including warehouse and customer service teams, to ensure smooth logistics operations and accurate shipment handling.
Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or service-related issues, and ensure proper documentation and tracking of freight.
Maintain accurate transportation records, ensure proper completion of shipping documentation, and support compliance with company and regulatory requirements
